Whoosh! (Wiping the sweat of my forehead!) Here's the post for another busy month of sewing. I've got fabric everywhere and loads to catch up with. Some of the bags are presents for my Aunt Josie and Uncle David (I hope he likes it, I've tried to make it look as macho as possible!!!!) Here goes...
The messenger bag for Uncle David. He rides this cool bike and so I thought this bag will be cool too. (I hope so!) The material is from Ikea.
The tote on the left is for Auntie Jose. It's got pockets on the front and bag. Magnetic clasp and velvet ribbons.
I love this material and I've got loads of this stashed away for keepsake and future projects. It comes in shades of green moss, warm reds and cool green. I have all Three!!!
Another angle of the tote bag. See that bird!
Ikea has got one of the most interesting prints around and in my favourite fabric (canvas!). This was pre-hemmed and easy-peasy to do.
Remember the ribbon embroidery piece. Here it is again - but now a little bag for Allison! I had to handstitch the sides. Take note : Always remember to sew the handles on each side first before sewing together to form the bag. What a lesson, I broke so many needles.
All three bags together.
Four more work in progress . These bags are for church sale end of this year.
A spur of the moment project. Have been keeping this bag handle for awhile and this seems to be a good idea for a nice black bag with a felt motif.

Of French knots, ribbons and shrinkable plastic!
I always start a project with a draft on my eMac. From here on...making it up as I go.
Felt pieces are pinned and bit by bit I begin adding the embroidery. Simple ones, that's all I'm currently capable of. Quite enjoy french knots. Must get the embroidery hoop now.
The finished pillow cover. The overall pillow was fun to stitch. I guess you won't get bored with lengthy stitching if you do this hodge podge type of project.
Had to complete the pillow with a mini badge on the top. Had the design printed on shrinkable plastics, oven shrunk and waterproofing with my new crafting must-have the modge podge lacquer! (thanks to Grace again for lugging 2 bottles of this precious material!!!)
Aiyah! Should have inserted a pillow to take a snap shot. Maybe Janet can do that for me?
This is my CCE to Janet of Ipoh. It took me a little longer to finish the 10" cushion cover for the exchange with the ongoing wedding and some work deadlines. Thank goodness I finished it in time! I hope she likes what I've come up with - An embroidered pillow in a whimsical theme. Thanks to Emily for the idea to combine felt and ribbon embroidery. It was really a fun project to do.

Daniel & Jessica's Wedding Part 2
These are photos from Meow's camera. I won't be putting up the portrait pictures (that's Jessica's job!)...some of these are just wacky and sort of capture the day's event.
Nice shot Meow! Every guest is requested to have their photo taken at the reception and posted at the guest book with your best wishes for the newlywed. Good idea if you have a small group.
The tea ceremony took place at 5pm. We were 1-hour late, I think!
Mom and Po-Po all glam up for the day!
Perhaps a nice start to a new career? Who's next?!
Calm and composed. Nigel walking down the aisle - The leader!
Our family under the hot sun!
Where's the food? (Hahah! Just kidding.) She looks fantastic. I love that dress.
Little Faith has grown up so much! I remember when she was my flower girl... Butterfly wings and a white little gown.
Soon it will be Eirene's turn.
Melissa and Kenneth. Can't wait to do your wedding cake! Hurry-up man.
Uncle David and Jessica walking down the aisle.
Very cool shot!
I told you sneakers won't do. Aren't you lucky you got those high heels instead!
The beautiful flower girl.
Auntie Chris was given the job as family videographer. Hey, the shots you took were fantastic. Got bookings set for other weddings already.
So glamour la! Auntie Dorcas - After 6 kids and you still look gorgeous in your cheongsam.
This next couple will be tying the knot end of this year.
Auntie Ruth and Uncle Richard. Doesn't she look good in her Zara.
My mom and her glamourous hair-do.
Anthony and Justin. Somebody buy him a tie!
My grandparents got front row seats.
Posing by the cake. All so dressed-up for the garden wedding.
The newly weds. It was a beautiful and simple ceremony. Lots of laughs and love songs.
Nigel taking over the camera.
Ben and Eirene fooling around. At the end of the year, I think I'll be able to compile a lot of wacky shots from this girl.
Meow in his element! This crazy brother of mine - drives me absolutely crazy.
One big family. Nigel is spotted here having his 10th cup of drink! I think we all had a lot to drink. Coconut and lychee, Lime juice and Longan!
Grace taking a shot at the cake.
Alistair. So handsome! He does remind me of Uncle John.
The queue at the buffet line! (Hey, Shen and Johnathan must be very hungry - caught you!)
Table 13- cousins and Jess' siblings are all seated here.
The very hungry gang! I gave up waiting and we all just cut the queue!!
Uncle Anthony and Auntie Chris. Flew in from Jakarta a day before.
